CURIOSITIES

Each group of Singers is distinguished from the others by different symbols, that refer to different aspects of the Passion and Death of Jesus. The group who sings the Miserere is represented by the symbol of lu cabu di li morti (a skull), the group Lu stabat is represented by the symbol of La Pieddai (Mercy), and the group that sings Lu Jesu is represented by Lu Crucifissu (the cross).
Castelsardo is the only place in Sardinia where the sacred celebrations last the whole of Holy Week.
