TAVOLARA

The dive at the famous Sandbank of the Pope, near Tavolara Island, is not to miss. A row of calcareous spires, the most majestic of which rises from 40 to 15 m, make diving here well worth the effort.

The rock faces are covered by big red and yellow Gorgonias. On the seabed there are beautiful species of Black Groupers, and it is not unusual to see wonderful Dentexs. Depending on the season, pelagic fish such as Ricciole and Pelamyds can be seen.

The ridge of granite rocks, which is located between Tavolara and Molara, forms the Sandbanks of Fico, which are full of gorges. The dive at Punta Arresto, near the extreme north-eastern end of Molara, has an underwater landscape where numerous granite ridges are linked by deep canyon like tunnels.
