Every respectable excursion requires preparation, and for one at night, in addition to regular maintenance and polishing on the part of the enthusiast (just ask a biker’s girlfriend!), you need lights on the handlebars.
You can buy proper lighting, or you can make do with two or three diver’s torches, well-taped to the handlebars.
One light must be pointed down to illuminate the ground under the wheels, and another to permit a broad view of the path to follow. Finally, a red blinker on the saddle pillar is a useful guide for the rider following you.
Some Advice: if you opt for the “do-it-yourself” solution, don’t make other plans for the evening, as regulating the lights with tape and bands is quite a job!
