Home E New Styles of Tourism E THE ‘TRENINO VERDE’>TWO WAYS TO TRAVEL ON THE TRAIN

There are two ways to travel on the Trenino Verde: chartered trains or scheduled trains. You can even take your bike on the train (see the bottom of the page for further information).

  • Chartered Trains
Preferred by groups, companies or agencies that, being able to count on a certain number of passengers, hire the train and personalize the trip (itinerary, schedule, stops).
You can “put your own train together“, choosing one or more coaches and a steam or diesel locomotive.
The price depends on the trip requested and obviously goes up for a long trip or if historical equipment (steam locomotive and period coaches) is used.
For example, these are the prices for a 75-km trip, VAT included, with various combinations of rolling-stock:
Composition Seats Fare (€)
Diesel rail-car

2 diesel rail-cars

Diesel locomotive with 1 coach

Diesel locomotive with 1 period coach

Steam locomotive with 1 coach

Steam locomotive with 1 period coach
