PORTO CAMPANA BEACH

Position
2 km south-east of Chia; along the coast, after the rocky headland which divides it from Colonia Beach.

How to get there:
Take the road which leads from the SS 195 to Chia and the coastal area of Teulada. After approx. 2 km, after you pass the stalls which sell fruit (good-quality local produce), you reach “Bar Mongittu”.
Proceed along the main road. After a few hundred metres, at the Chia Laguna Hotel, there is a cross-roads: some signs lead to the main beaches on the left. Follow this small road for approx. 400 m. You will find another croosroad, turn left again. At the end of the unpaved road you enter a paid parking area; remember that in Chia there are very few free parking areas and policemen are severe.

Description
Gold, granular sand, emerald-green water with coloured reflections of the sun and sand, a wide beach sloping towards the sea.
Headlands rich in vegetation mark the limits of the beach on both sides.
Rare bushes and grass burnt by the summer sun grow on the dunes behind: this is Porto Campana.
Its characteristics are similar to those of the other Chia beaches: sand dunes, Mediterranean shrubs (junipers, lentisks, rockroses) and scented white cornflowers… A natural paradise!!

Facilities
The Grand Hotel Chia Laguna establishments are on the left side of the beach: you can rent hobiecats, tridents, lasers and different kinds of surfs for all levels, windsurfs and water skis.
Motorboats and boats, rubber dinghies and a 12 m off-shore are for rent.
Beach umbrellas and deck-chairs can be rented in one of the two establishments (the other one is exclusively for the clients of the Hotel Chia Laguna).
Near the exit of the parking area there is a kiosk which sells ice-creams, drinks and sandwiches.
