In the surroundings of Castiadas, you can visit the Punic remains of Monte Nai, which date back to VIth and Vth centuries BC
NATURE
- Feraxi and Colostrai pools
Going along the provincial road of S. Priamo and after 20 minutes only from Costa Rei, you will see the pools of Feraxi and Colostrai. There you can admire their rich avifauna: flamingos, egrets, herons and stilt-birds. - Parco dei Sette fratelli (Seven Brothers’ Park)
Reach Castiadas, then follow the signs. You should consult a tourist office before.
The faunistic oasis of Mount Genis stands inside the mountain-park:
there you can admire granite strangely shaped rocks, thick ilex groves and luxuriant Mediterranean plants. Sardinian deer is at home there. - Villasimius geomarine park
It is the only exclusively marine Italian park, along with Ustica.
It stretches along the whole coastal-basin of the Villasimius territory, islands included.
There are reserve areas, which safeguard the most important depths.
Bathing, sports-fishing, navigation, underwater photos and submarines guided tours are allowed, in conformity to protection and control conditions.

Finds dating back to the Phoenician-Punic age (from underwater finds). Terracotta ex-voto, found in the Sanctuary of Is Cuccureddus (from Phoenician age to Western Roman Empire).
Weapons and azulejos (small tiles covered with blue enamel) coming from sunken Spanish ships cargoes (late Middle Ages).
