  • The hill of Santa Vittoria
    It stands near the town, just a few minutes from the sea: you can walk along paths surrounded by Mediterranean plants; there are many turrets and well camouflaged military structures dating back to the WWII.
  • The Nora lagoon
    Near the archaeological area, it is rich in fish-species: you can see and touch many fishes in the basins of the small aquarium.
    Moreover sailing the lagon by canoe you can observe the rich avifauna living in the pond.
  • The forest of Pixina Manna
    An excellent place for those who love trekking and flora and fauna observation: paths, leading to the mountains, start about three kilometres from the golf courses of Is Molas. Leave your car there and move along the water course among fords and small falls: it leads to Dispensa Tonietti (a mountain hut and refreshment place); you can also take the more difficult path which shortly leads to the Fall on the Rio Montixeddu.
  • The forest of Is Cannoneris
    Leave the national road which connects Pula and Domus de Maria, and, going through the town, you will come near the forest of Is Cannoneris in less than half an hour. It is an indescribable wood of holm-oaks, chestnut trees and strawberry trees, inside a huge and uncontaminated landscape, which can be admired from several panoramic places.
    At Is Cannoneris there is a Sardinian deer repopulating centre and a picnic area. You can go on from that area towards the very high and light walls of Calamixi.

  • The archaeological area of Nora
    One of the most interesting historical and archaeological sites on the island: you can admire monuments and ruins of the Phoenician-Punic age and of the Roman one. Here are some of them ( you can rely on guides to visit them):
    >the Temple of Tanit and the Temple of Eshmum;
    >four thermal buildings, among which there is the majestic one of the “Terme a Mare”;
    >the Theatre, the rectangular Forum and the market;
    >the House of the Tetrastyle Atrium;
    >the mosaics of the high-class villas, among which there is the wonderful one which shows “Anfitrite on a marine Centaur”.

  • Archaeological Museum “G.Patroni”: it is inside a typical Campidanese house and exhibits objects and ruins from ancient Nora.
