Fortifications and Towers in Alghero
This Catalan city has preserved its Aragonese and Spanish architectonic patrimony. Its historical centre is dominated by defensive towers and boundary walls. There is the fourteenth-century Hebrew tower, the Esperò Reial (or Vincenzo Sulis) tower, the octagonal tower of San Giacomo, the circular tower of la Polvorera and Castilla tower. The towers are connected by defensive walls.
