- Pattada is, by definition, the home of Sardinian knives. The latter, world-famous, have been made in this small town since ancient times. This tradition probably started because there are rich iron deposits in the area.
- Sassari, the seventeenth-century Renaissance style fountain of Rosello is one of the many attractions of this city.
- Ozieri has many interesting traditions and fascinating architectural structures. It is home to an archeological museum and a beautiful sixteenth-century retable (an altarpiece which stands behind the altar) by the “master from Ozieri”.
- Berchidda is a country town whose economy is based on farming and shepherding. Many artists live there: in fact, every summer there is a jazz festival -Time in jazz- organized by the local trumpet player Paolo Fresu.
