HERE IS OUR ALPHABET FOR YOUR VACATION IN SARDINIA
If you want to know something in particular, contact us
- Beaches
there are plenty of hidden beaches and bays, just remember to bring some water and something to eat (luckily in these places you will not find many facilities!). - Excursions
Before starting out on a trekking route, gather information on the area or ask for guides, especially if you are visiting Supramonte. - Farm holidays
always check if the farms are authorised and belong to recognised associations. - Food
roast fish is delicious, but we also suggest you try other traditional dishes: roast piglet (the famous porchetto), fregola with clams, pasta with bottarga (dry mullet eggs), burrida (dogfish), roast mountain sheep, snails, sea urchins, su casu axedu, su filindeu, maccarones furriaus, maccioni frissu, orziadas… Discover unique flavours.
- From the sea to the mountains
Take a look at the inland, you can discover nuraghi, ancient tombs, caves, churches, forests, natural beauties, festivals and great food! - Guides
The Touring and De Agostini Guides have complete information on Sardinia; on the web, obviously https://www.sardiniapoint.it/indexi.html . - Handicrafts
always look for the objects guaranteed by I.S.O.L.A. (Istituto Sardo Organizzazione Lavoro Artigiano), they are really handmade and made with high quality materials and traditional techniques. - Mosquitoes
They may be very bothering, always bring some cream, or other device that may keep them away. - Panoramic roads
The roads leading to the coasts or the inner parts of the Island offer magnificent views. Take your time and admire the landscape: drive slowly along the winding roads (the curves are the only price you must pay!). - Petrol
Don’t travel with little petrol, in Sardinia the next station can be many km away. - Roads and sheep
If you drive towards the inland (it’s worth it), you could run into a flock of sheep along the road: be careful, especially before curves. - Wind
Maestrale (mistral) is the most common wind, the west coast is the most exposed, ideal for surfers or windsurfers.
